about

This song is about economic injustice and the abuse of capitalism which leads to it.

lyrics

Say what you will the system is broken beyond repair
Children Live on the streets yet there's empty buildings everywhere

When will we rise? How long can we take this oppression?
We see through their lies, Brick by brick, We'll burn their castles....

Down is the direction they wish us to go, they've planned our descent
They suck the life blood from our veins until our souls are spent

The workers are left with nothing to mend their broken bones
Their riches grow while they do nothing and their slaves lose their homes

The prophets tried to tell them that the rulers must be just
But their hearts grew hard with greed and paradise was lost

And the Lord God said to the serpent, Because thou hast done this thou art cursed above all the cattle and brutes of the earth, on thy breast and thy belly thou shalt go, and thou shalt eat earth all the days of thy life.

Hey rich man, do you think that you've won,
Well, there's something you should know

History repeats herself since the fool won't learn his lesson
and the time has come to teach you yours

When the Queen said, "Let them eat cake," and the wealthy had no compassion for the poor

Cake sounds good to me

She did not know that the monarchy would crumble and her severed head would tumble to the floor

I think I'm missing my head
It's rolling and tumbling and tumbling and rolling
Look, it's laughing....Oh wait, that's my laughter
It's my head....ha ha ha

Truthfully, tipsy tyrants shall tiptoe through tulips
as tactful tacticians tell their titillating tales
Tagalongs toke tobacco on the tailgates of travesty taking time to take tolls from the tired
Titans tackle the tiny and tasteless taglines toxify the tranquility of the timid
Taxes are taken from temporal temples and tenacious temptation transpires
Tenderfoot travelers treat tenants so tenderly....temporarily

And soon the plagues will fall upon this land and all the people shall be free
No kingdom should be built on the backs of slaves
What will it take to make the pharaoh see?

The people rise to their feet a long awaited battle draws near
Their hearts are filled with hope and the minds of the rulers are filled with fear

Dies irae, dies illa, dies tribulationis

That day is a day of wrath, a day of tribulation and distress, a day of calamity and misery, a day of darkness and obscurity, a day of doubts and whirlwinds, a day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high bulwarks.
